Can I use other back-end technologies with in1, or is it all or nothing?
Answer:
Since in1 is written entirely on open standards it can work right along side any other back-end technology. You simpley reference the correct URL for the technology you want to use. This allows you to integrate well with other platforms or legacy technologies as well as the ability to drop out to another technology that may handle a particular problem better than in1 does. After all, no product can do it all (and those that try end up being impossible to learn and use).
Has in1 been proven?

How come the InShift site is static?
Answer:
Acutally, InShift.com uses the in1 publishing technology which allows you to optionally publish your dynamic pages as static pages. Whenever there is a change made to the dynamic content any pages that dispay that data are automatically republished. This mode is optional on a page by page basis and allows a dynamic site to handle a huge amount of hits.
What do I need to know to use in1?
Answer:
A good understanding of HTML is a good starting point. Of course, CSS & JavaScript are good web development skills to have regardless if you are using our stuff. You will also need to understand basic SQL statements for accessing the database. There are some great tutorials for SQL on www.sql.org. Aside from that you just need to learn our broswer based development environment, tags, and functions. There is plenty of information for that on my.inshift.com. What technology is in1 built on?
Answer:
Perl. Perl is a lightweight language that has powerful
string manipulation abilities that makes it perfect for the
web. Perl allows us to run on many different platforms while keeping our footprint light and server utilization lower than many other heavier solutions.
Your site, online community (My InShift), and partner lists are just getting started, are you another startup?
Answer:
No. InShift has been around a while. After finishing our development stage we spent nearly a year building solutions and working with companies in our local region in order to improve our product and processes. In the process we have gained hundreds of customers from all over. Now we are taking the gloves off for full launch, thus the new sites and partner programs.
